Have you started your periods?, if you have chances are you won’t get much taller anyway.

Sadly, there are not any ways to make yourself shorter. You are actually at an average height for a girl, which is nothing to be ashamed about. You just seem like a giant now because you’re still young, and all of the guys around you haven’t fully grown yet (boys mature slower than girls, hence, they usually get their growth spurts later, too). I know it seems like a huge issue right now, but trust me, when you’re older, it’s not going to bother you one bit. There will be plenty of boys who are taller than you. I’m 5’6″, and at least 95% of the guys I see are my height or taller. It’s nothing to be ashamed about. And if you want to wear heels, rock them! Plus, it isn’t true that guys don’t like girls who are taller than them. Sure, 14 year old guys will feel uncomfortable with that, because they have this vision in their heads that the guy is ALWAYS supposed to be taller. This is not true. There are actually a ton of guys out there in the world who prefer taller women. You will come across that when you get older. Fear not.

It IS possible, but exceedingly rare and something you can’t control.

What you want is a genetic mutation on the Estrogen receptor, causing it to be over sensitive to the hormone. This will close the growth plate. I doubt you have this, as it is so rare, some people are never diagnosed.

Edit: Don’t drink Grape Juice, as it can cause less estrogen to be released.

Mummy Sarah: Sadly, that is a myth. Girls grow in the legs until about 16-19, then in the lower back until about 21. UNLESS they either contract gigantism or dwafism. WHich can hav effects on the skeletal structure.

Edit 2: Try reading “the Secret”, it could help.

Snarky answer: Try drugs and smoking and anorexia. Lots of it. That oughta stunt your growth well.

Real answer: You can’t. You might grow, you might not. I’ve been 5’2″ since I was about 13, and I’m 24 now, so I’m stuck at this height.

But there is no healthy way to stop growing.

Being short isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. It’s annoying having to have my fiance reach things on the top shelf.

Enjoy who you are, and don’t worry about your height. It doesn’t and shouldn’t ever matter. You’re tall enough to drive, to get on all amusement park rides, and to enjoy life. Be glad you’re not abnormally short or tall.

However, if you constantly ignore the signs and if you keep training and ‘breaking down’ muscle tissue before it has a chance to recover, the effect will be the opposite of what you want – you will get weaker and smaller.

    Start smoking, it stunts growth.

Nah totally joking, you can’t stop yourself growing! How old are you? If you’re nearly done growing then you might stay around the same height.

You can’t prevent your body from growing. It’ll be the height it was meant to be. if it is 5’3 then you will stay at 5’3, if it is 6’1, you’ll be 6’1

There is actually no way to stop that. But you could try talking to a doctor.
