I got the scene/emo haircut earlier this year on May. I loved it at first but now I absolutely hate it! My hair before the cut was so long and beautiful. It has grown but at the top its bigger/wider/fatter than the bottom. That’s the best way I can describe it! They thinned out the bottom only I guess that’s why it looks like it does. But what can I do to get rid of that? Do I cut the ends every month? And let it grow out? Or should I go get the top thinned out so it can be even with the rest of my hair? (Thinking of doing that )

Its gonna do that -_- my hair did that after growing out from a pixie(currently is like this ugh) so you can get it cut again or keep growing it out and trimming the bottom so you can have it all match lengths. P.S. unless you really want to and its okay for your hair type, don’t get it thinned because all you are doing is “trimming” it in a way and before you know it it will do the same thing again.

Wash out your hair first, then while it’s still damp, start chipping off the thinner bottom of your hair, and then when it gets to a bit wider section, stop. Your hair will grow out neatly. And, if you want to get rid of the top, cut the toppest part off very carefully. Or, you can straighten it. You can also go to the beauty salon and ask them to re-do your hair.

After I got bored of that “emo” very layered hair… I first waited short parts of hair to grow up a bit, then I TOTALLY cut my hair, less than half of my neck. Also, I had side fringe which i made straight. Later, I colored my red hair dark brown and let it grow, now i have straight non layered brown hair past my shoulders, and straight fringe.
I realised it was a mistake to thin and layer my hair so much, cos later I realised I have Very thick and strong hair!
SO yeah, that’s what I did, I would recommend you do similar ^^

Just keep it healthy, and I would suggest you to keep trimming it every 6 months. You can thin the top out if you want, but thinning it out will cause more damage because of the razor.

All you can really do is wait for it to grow out.

Get extensions until it grows back again.
