My male yorkie is 2 years old and I have never seen him hump anything ever. He doesn’t show any interest in other dogs and wont hump my female yorkie (which will be 1 years old in a few months) that I purchased to bred the two. He doesn’t hump any objects, people, other dogs….nothing. And he is NOT neutered. Maybe once the female is in heat he will care? I do not know but he shows no signs of any interest. Is this normal?

This happens to my dog too! He is a year and six months old and he still pee’s like a girl.
He doesn’t raise his leg to pee. Last time I was at the vet, he told me that maybe he’s not interested in the other dog or maybe he just isn’t interested at all. Since it happens to other dogs as well, I’m supposing it must be normal. My dog doesn’t care at all for my female dog. When she was in heat, he was very young. But his brother is not the same as him. His brother tries to hump my other dog. (I have 4 dogs) And apparently, gay dogs are becoming a trend. I’ve had a dog last year (he died, sadly) that only humped the other male dog. He showed absolutely no interest in the female dogs.
I think it might be psychological. Maybe it will stay that way or maybe he’ll get interested later on.
But don’t worry about it, he’s fine 🙂

That is completely normal my friend, some male dogs naturally do not have a interest or URGE yet. Also most dogs get the urge at anywhere from two years old to four years old!!!!!!!! Right now he is in the junivile stage, not ready yet. Just be pateint and wait it out. When he is ready he will. Also they will NOT mate if they are the same litter or mother and father so be very careful there. Also that’s a good thing the no humping, most owners despise it and it’s embarrassing, so congrats. Also when and if he does just allow it and if your still worried talk to a vet or doctor.

do you want to be a backyard breeder? spay the girl and neuter the male. its only healthy. and consider yourself one of the lucky ones for no humping, i would have them both neutered. they probably arent breeding material anyway because real breeders have a contract requiring you to spay and neuter which is what you should schedule tomorrow morning asap.

Shame on you for breeding! Maybe he is punishing you because he knows breeding is horrible when thousands of animals in shelters need homes. Good for him!!!
