Work out the value of x. If someone could explain how to get the answer, that would be GREAT!
9 answers by real people - The diagram shows a parallelogram. The sizes of the angles, in degrees, are: 2x, 3x-15, 2x, 2x+24.?
-
So 3x-15=2x+24 deduct 2x from each side and add 15
x=39.
So the angles are 2×39=78 and (2×39)+24=102 degrees.
Checking (2×78) + (2×102) = 360 degrees.
-
2x+3x-15+2x+2x+24=360
9x +9=360
9x = 351
x=351/9 =39 degrees
so the angles are
78 degrees
102 degrees
78 degrees
102 degrees
all the angles of a parallelogram sum to 360
-
2x + (3x – 15) + 2x + (2x + 24) = 360
9x + 9 = 360 => x + 1 = 40 => x = 39
-
Since 3x-15=2x+24 (the opposite angles equal),
3x-2x=24+15=>
x=39*
-
2x+3x-15+2x+2x+24=360
9x+9=360
9x=351
x=39
-
or you could say opposite angles in a parallelogram are equal so 2x + 24 = 3x – 15 and find x that way
-
add them all up the you equate to 360. so it would be like “2x + 3x-15 + 2x + 2x+24 = 360”. then obtain the value of x. simple.

Sum of measures of all angles of a triangle = one hundred eighty 3x + 2x – 10 + 3x + 30 = one hundred eighty 3x + 2x + 3x -10 + 30 = one hundred eighty 8x + 20 = one hundred eighty 8x = one hundred eighty – 20 8x = a hundred and sixty x = a hundred and sixty / 8 x = 20 The angles are 3x = 3(20) = 60 2x – 10 = 2(20) – 10 = 40 – 10 = 30 3x + 30 = 3(20) +30 = 60 + 30 = ninety distinction between greatest and smallest angles = ninety – 30 = 60 wish that enables
