You will go to a place of rest depending on how you live your life that place will either be a place called Paradise or to a place called Spirit Prison until Judgment Day. On Judgment day we will go to the Judgment seat of Christ and ultimately will judge ourselves with Jesus as our advocate with the Father who will determine where we will dwell. We will then go to one of 4 places. The Celestial Kingdom like that of the Sun, The Terrestrial Kingdom like unto the moon, The Telestial Kingdom compared to the glory of the stars or to Outer Darkness where Satan dwells. Each Kingdom has it’s varying degree of glory compared to how righteous we were here on earth we will attain that glory that we worked for. If we attain the highest degree of glory we can inherit all that our Father in Heaven has for us to inherit and can become like him and take part in his eternal work. To find out more go to http://mormon.org/ There is so much to learn it is really an amazing wonderful glorious plan that our Father in Heaven has in store for us. I forgot to mention the resurrection. We will all be resurrected and will be reunited with a perfect body that will then be immortal like our Father in Heaven.

When you die, that’s it! Nothing. At the time of death most people are comatose as the organs shut down one by one. Your senses start to fail with smell, taste, touch and sight going first and hearing last. It is estimated that hearing continues for about four minutes after clinical death so it would be possible to still hear what was going on after death. However as lack of oxygen to the brain would cause brain damage giving the feeling of insanity after about two minutes you wouldn’t understand what was being said anyway. The concept of life after death was invented to reassure ourselves that we can still exist after death and thus not be afraid of it. It is also a tool to recruit people into various religions with promises that after death there will be some sort of heaven or paradise awaiting us. As we are only animals like any other, but of higher intelligence, it is hard to imagine that every living thing that preceded us would, somehow, be crammed into heaven. Anyway, who would want to go there? It’ll be full of catholics!

I personally think that there are no heaven nor hell. I don’t know if there is a God or not. So I don’t know if there is a Heaven. I think that we may reincarnate in something. A flower, a hyena, a tree. I often wonder myself what I was in my previous lives. And if I will realize that I am reincarnating in something or someone else.

I understand why you are afraid of death. But I think we should be more afraid of the death of people we love. Because, as we aren’t sure about what’s next, we don’t know if we’re gonna meet them again.

If they die, you can’t feel anything but their absence. You can feel left behind. I think this is the worst feeling ever.

So don’t be afraid of your own death and treasure the people you love.

Very Interesting! In Revelation 21:4, it says, And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. I know how you feel, I’m 40 and I think about death, but I’m not afraid of it, because I know it’s going to happen. I guess you can say I just wonder WHEN is it going to happen, that’s what “boogles” me. But if you truly BELIEVE that Jesus is the son of God, then you think about how wonderful it’s going to be to sit at the right hand of God and he tells you…….WELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!

just to add to MIJs comment, we believe that the reason that you were put here on earth is to gain a body, and to be the best person you can be. we believe that our Heavenly Father made us a plan, and its called the plan of salvation. its a plan where after we die, we will return back to heaven, and the only thing that we can bring with us is our knowledge. We will be resurrected, and we will get our bodies back. I know that before we were born here on earth, we were spirits in heaven, waiting to be born here, so that we could experience life here and get a body. In order to become like our Father, we must have a body. we believe that both God and Jesus Christ has bodies “as tangible as mans” but they are gods as well. we must overcome the adversity here so that we can grow and become like him. only then can you receive the celestial kingdom. as they said, its in the website, but if you wanted to know more, go there or go to Mormon.org and you’ll find the information to what I know to be true and hopefully you will too.

As you get older you won’t be so afraid of death, I am almost 50 and I am kinda looking forward to it ina way. I’m not suicidal but I look at death as a natural part of life. I don’t remember how I felt before I was born. and I was pretty ill at one time and thought I was going to die so I accepted it. since then I haven’t been so afraid of it. don’t worry about it so much right no, let life beat the life out of you and you will embrace it. when I was your age I always worried more about my mother dying than myself. well she is dead now and life changed very little. so quit worrying so much, life will condition you for things to come.

Pray and ask God to help you to release these fears. Unfortunately, no one on yahoo answers actually KNOWS what happens after death, since none of us are dead or have died. Christians believe that after death of the flesh we move to a life with God/Christ. Thats the best that I can do for you. Read your bible, and pray to God.
